Although Proverbs 3:5 says, "... lean not unto thine own understanding", we often rely solely on our own reasonings about life and neglect bringing God's Word into our thoughts and remembrance. To glorify God, we must resist our self-centered nature and seek to be led by God's Spirit. We must remind ourselves that a person's strength comes from the Spirit of God within.

Romans 8:11,14 "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

Strength from the spirit God has infused us with is primary. Physical strength is only secondary. To receive the things of the spirit of God, we learn from and make decisions according to God's Word and are outfitted with the inner perfection God provides.

II Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [which is] instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

It is the spirit's work that glorifies God and enables man to do God's work. As we become inspired by the scriptures, we see the possibilities of God's accomplishments in our lives and begin to act on them. At that point, we are receiving instruction in righteousness. We are walking according to God's desires and good pleasure and accomplishing works that glorify Him.

Philippians 2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you [by way of the gift in you] both to will and to do of his good pleasure."

Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

How can you bring glory to GOD?

1Cor:15:43: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: Glory means to give honor or respect. So to give glory to GOD, one must live in such a way that would invoke respect not only for oneself, but for GOD.
