The words 'bring all things to your remembrance' suggest that a primary way He does this is through the human mind, by bringing up something previously known to the conscious mind from the sub-conscious. This of course from our 'modern' understanding of how the human brain, created by God, works. For the disciples whom Jesus was addressing this would have meant bringing to mind things Jesus had taught them, for the believer today it means much the same, in that the believer is taught by God through the word of God contained in The Bible, which is a reliable record of both His words and works, written for the large part by either eyewitnesses or by those who knew them.

He is not with us always but when we are troubled He will help us to find solutions. He will give us answers to our prayers. A Third Answer

I have to disagree with the first answer. The Holy Spirit is not God. He is the Comforter of people (John 14:26, NKJV). He is the Helper and Spirit of truth (John 15:26, NKJV). He is described in the Bible as the power of God (Acts 1:8). God and Jesus Christ send the Holy Spirit to:

1. Help man in his infirmities and weaknesses (Romans 8:26)

2. Help the true servants of God still remain rooted to their faith and withstand their many sufferings and trials

Another role of the Holy Spirit is to guide the chosen ones into all the truth. He does not speak of Himself but does so only according to the commandment of the one who sent Him.:

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13)

The Holy Spirit is not God. The Holy Spirit, whom the Son and the Father send, could not have been God. The Bible testifies that there are "seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth" (Rev. 5:6, NKJV).

And I looked, and behold, in the midst of throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. (Rev. 5:6, NKJV)

The Trinity Doctrine is FALSE. Christ is not God. Neither is the Holy Spirit.

Were the Holy Spirit God also, it would appear that there are not only three Gods but nine Gods because there are seven spirits being sent by God. The fact that the Holy Spirit is being sent proves that He is not, and could not be God, because the one who sends is greater than the one sent.

Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. (John 13:16, NKJV)

The Trinity Doctrine is FALSE. Christ is purely man, composed of body, soul and spirit, and made of bones and flesh. He is extraordinary, yes, but He is still man.

"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know-" (Acts 2:22, NKJV)

In John 17:1 and 3, it is stated quite clearly how our Lord Jesus Christ Himself proved that the Father, not He, is the only true God: "Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: 'Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent'." (NKJV, emphasis ours)

The declaration of Christ regarding His state of being: "But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who was told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this." (Jn. 8:40, New King James Version)

The Father is God and therefore not man.

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24, NKJV)

from what i've read and what i personally think, when you have the holy spirit, your supposed to be very happy, there is a constant connection between you a force greater than yourself that gives constant joy, joy that you can't keep to yourself, and that's why you have to tell people about it, and about christ, it wouldn't even be unusual for you to talk to the holy spirt and for him to talk to you. i've never felt the holy spirit, but i was baptized when i was 16, can't say i've been squeaky clean, probably far from it, but i've always prayed for it, because without the holy spirit inside of you, you will sin. personally i don't believe you can be a christian and not have the holy spirit, mind you remember i've never feel him before, but my expectations are so great, because of what i've read in the bible. all those guys in the bible that had the holy spirit, i was something extraordinary, and nowadays you don't even see that, and your wondering what, how can this be, where is the power of the christians, i mean if i had the holy spirit and if its everything i thought it is, every chance i had to tell people about god i would, and people would get healed too, right now it seems the mightiest time god ever moved was in the bible days, doesn't the holy spirit do it anymore, doesn't he heal people anymore, i mean with so many sick people in the hospitals, all these people do is pray, and yet still these people are sick they need god. yes so i have received the gift yet, but whenever i pray to receive it, i pray from my heart, honestly and i think god wants you to have the holy spirit, since he wants to have a relationship with you anyway, since gods wants you to have the gift i must be something i did wrong. and i did say i got baptized when i was young, 16 to be exact, i was young wasn't even sure why i got baptized, my name added up to 888 in english gematria so i thought i was special that's what the name of jesus comes to anyway and someother really good phrases, like jesus forgave, who is the king, sons of a god, who are the gods, check it out you'll see. so right now i'm 20 never been filled with gods holy spirit, really really want to, because i'm schizoprenic and i know the holy spirit can heal that, so yes i want something from the holy spirit, and what can i give back, that's the great thing about salvation its free, once you do good i believe in jesus christ that's all
