How can you identitify a Sikh?

A true Sikh(Khalsa) is recognized by five important religious features.

1. Kesh (forbidden to clip hair /trim beard and moustache)

2. Kripan - a dagger is always kept

3 .Kara- a steel or iron bangle.

4. Kuch- clean underlinen is worn each day.

5. Kanga-comb.

Normally a Sikh speaks Punjabi,wears a turban & recites the Gurbani(teachings of their Guru).

They have rich chivalrous religious cultural traditions.

They do not smoke,commit adultery or eat meat which is halal(killed by slow torture)

You can identify a Sikh by

• a Turban (Men)
• A jooda (boys)
• A Patka (woman and girls)
• Long hair (Woman, girls, men and boys)
• they all wear a Khara(Braclet)
• They may be wearing a Khanda (Sikh symbol) A khanga (comb) and a small symbolic sword. They could be wearing all or one of these aroundd their neck

Notn many people keep long hair and turbans anymore and not many woman or girls wear Patka's. Most people don't wear these religeous symolic symbols so you may have to ask but you can easily identify a proud Sikh he/she would be wearing some of those things
