Renewing one's mind is the key to releasing the spiritual power we have received from God.

Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

As believers, we are to be transformed. We are tasked with putting a renewed form, a new figure in our minds.

II Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

In renewing our minds, we hold God's Word in mind and act accordingly.

Galatians 5:1,13 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and... by love serve one another."

Desiring to keep God's commandments, we work with our minds and align our thoughts and actions with the righteousness God created in us.

Ephesians 4:22,24 "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

Christ always carried out God's Word perfectly. Like him, we are to do the will of the Father.

Philippians 2:5 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus."

When our minds are in harmony with the spirit God created in us, we can walk with His power in outward evidence in our lives.

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
