The Promised Land and heaven are actually two different places, but the present land of Israel is located in what was called the Promised Land. This land was given to them by God and some day soon they will have full and complete control of that land.

Concerning Israel after the Second Coming of Jesus Christ there will be a remnant of believing Jews (believing in Jesus) who will live in present day Israel, whether it will be called the Promised Land once again I don't know.

Christians will enjoy an eternity in heaven because they have believe on Jesus during there life here on earth.

Jesus is the Son of God from eternity, but about 2000 years ago Jesus (Son of God) came to this earth being born as a Baby to Mary in Bethlehem ( remember the Christmas story? This is why He is called the God/Man) At about age 30 He began His ministry in Israel. This ministry lasted 3- 3 1/2 years and then He was crucified on the cross.

When Jesus was crucified on the cross He took all of mankind's sin on that cross and died to pay the price of that sin. We are the ones who deserve to die for our sin, but Jesus died in our place. After three days in the grave Jesus arose alive and still lives in heaven.

When a person accepts Jesus as their Savior, believing that He died for them and believing that He arose from the grave alive they are given eternal life (Romans 10:9-11). Persons who do not believe in Jesus and have not accepted Him will go to the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15).

It was the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus that makes it possible for us to go to heaven, unless you are an unbeliever, and it was Jesus who will allow the Jewish people to return and enjoy Israel, also by his death, burial, and resurrection.

What does Galatians 327-28 tell up about the faith we share?

This is where Paul is describing that God's chosen nation are those that belong to Jesus. It was a transition from being physically born into it like the Jews/Israelites were, to being spiritually born into it through the baptism of holy spirit. The faith all Christians share should be in unity together and with Jesus. Verse 29 brings out how Jesus was Abraham's promised offspring and that those who belong to Christ and his Kingdom are also Abraham's offspring or "joint heirs" in that Kingdom.
