How did John the Baptist live his life?

John was called at an early age to be a forerunner for Jesus Christ. The scriptures tell us that while on his mission he lived on honey and locust. The scriptures do not so that he had job as his responsibilty of foretelling the comming of Christ was his prime responsibility. Because of this he never married, but devoted what short life he had to fullfiling his forodained responsibility.

That's easy, John whose real name is Yochanan, being a Levite and his father a priest, which makes him a priest and a Nazarite on top of it, he would have been studying the Torah (aka the Law) from the time he could understand how to talk, that's what Orthodox Jews do, they study, study and do more studying, same today until it's time to leave home. But John also could never touch grapes, grape juice or drink any wine all his life. That was his life until he went out into the wilderness and finally came to his cousin Yeshua (aka Jesus) then dies for telling Herod off for having his brother's wife, which is against Torah (aka Law) and Herod being part Jewish should have kept Torah!
