Sarah and Abraham demonstrated faith in God's promises by leaving their homeland and following God's command to journey to an unfamiliar land, trusting that they would become the parents of a great nation. However, their disbelief manifested when Sarah laughed at the notion of bearing a child in her old age and when Abraham tried to fulfill God's promise through Hagar, indicating doubt in God's timing and plan. Despite their moments of skepticism, they ultimately became key figures in the fulfillment of God's covenant.
faith
God called Abraham righteous because of his faith and obedience. Abraham trusted in God's promises, demonstrated by his willingness to leave his homeland and obey God's commands, such as when he was prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac. This faith and obedience showed Abraham's righteousness before God.
This verse recalls the testing of Abraham's faith:By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Sarah's thoughts on the matter are not recorded in scripture, so we do not know how she felt or what she thought. I'm not sure Abraham knew clearly what was going to happen. Abraham was simply obeying what he believed the Lord had told him. Scripture does tell us that Abraham was convinced God could and possibly would raise his son from the dead. The faith exhibited by both Abraham and Sarah was incredible. Which is why they are both listed in the book of Hebrews (Ch. 11) as heroes of the faith.
God founded faith in Judaism and Christianity, with Judaism having the promises and Christianity having the fulfillment of the promises.
Abraham showed his faith by being willing to offer his son Isaac on an altar to God, as a test of his obedience and trust in God's promises. However, God provided a ram for the sacrifice instead, recognizing Abraham's faith and obedience.
Yes because the bible said that god asked Abraham to sacrifice his son name Issac and it was just a test of Abrahams faith in god
He believed in God completely (Genesis 15:6), trusted Him and obeyed Him (Genesis 26:5), even though some of God's promises were not fulfilled until centuries later. See also:A biography of AbrahamWhat rewards did Abraham receive in his lifetime?
