I believe you are speaking about Romans 5:12, which reads, "that is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." This text helps us to see how Adam's sin effected all of his offspring. God warned both Adam and Eve in Genesis 2:17 that if they were to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, then they would positively die the day they ate from it. Later in Genesis 3:6, both Adam and Eve ate from the tree. Adam truly "sold" himself and all of us, his offspring, into slavery to sin and death as brought out in Romans 7:14. Adam and Eve willfully chose to give up their perfect everlasting life, and therefore died. Just like a dented bread pan that makes a loaf of bread with an imperfection, so do we have sin and pass it down. However, we have hope for one day attaining ever lasting life in a perfect state, because of Jesus' ransom sacrifice. Hence, in Romans 5:19, it is made clear that we were given a second chance. More importantly that second chance will be here on earth (Psalm 37:11). Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."
Romans 5:12 says that their sin led to death, and death spread through their whole family, and that's why we get old, get sick, and we die.
In the Bible, there isn't a specific figure referred to as the "grandmother of death." However, some interpretations link this phrase to the concept of sin, as death entered the world through sin, according to Romans 5:12. In a broader sense, figures like Eve are sometimes associated with the introduction of sin and, consequently, death.
IMperfect, and facing sin and death(Genesis 3:1-24)(Romans 5:12)
There are two types of sin mentioned. One does not lead to death and the other one does. The sin that does not lead to death is the one that is repented of and forgiven. The sin that leads to death is the one that is not repented of or forgiven. So the only sin that does not lead to death is the sin that is forgiven. 1John:5:17: All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
The Bible speaks of a "sin unto death" in Romans 6:16 and 1 John 5:16. Many bible scholars believe that this refers to a sin which can not be forgiven. Many feel that this refers to a person who rejects God's plan of salvation and completely turns his back on God. Those who are not willing to repent are not forgiven for their sin.
All sin is mortal (define:mortal - subject to death) Sin in its very nature is worthy of death. (James 1:15, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23) Vicarious atonement would render the sin "already paid for" I John 5:16-17 speaks of sins that are not mortal. The key is I John 5:18, so there is only one essential element that makes sin mortal... 1) The sin is mortal and leads to death if one is not born of God. Being born of God means that you have been redeemed from the curse of the law. The unredeemed will die for their sin because they do not have a vicarious substitute who died for their sins.
Genesis 1-3 Romans 5
Jesus Christ1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;Romans 5:20-21The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,so that, just as sin reigned in death,so also gracemight reign through righteousness to bring eternal lifethrough Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:12 let's us know that through one man Adam sin entered into the world and there's death because of sin. At Ecclesiastes 9:5 tells us For the living are conscious that they will die.But as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten
Rom:6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes,it can.The world experiences death because of sin. Rom:5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
