at that time the decline of mughal empire was on its peak.muslims were helpless and were under a great stress in mean while, shahwalliullah thought the muslim s are far away from their religion he tried to unite the muslims through he s education and writing books he translated the HOLY QURAN into persian which was the major language of the educated peoples at that time.

Shah Waliullah worked hard to ensure that he was a role model for other Muslims. His deep understanding of the Quran and hadith made him a highly knowledgeable scholar at an early age. since he believed that Quranic teachings was vital to Muslims, he translated the Quran into Persian because at that time Muslims didn't understand Arabic so he converted it into language that all the Muslims could understand. He wrote 51 books about the principles of Islam. He also wrote an account of the first four caliphs of Islam that was accepted both by Shias and Sunnis. He hoped that this would heal their division. One of his biggest contribution to the Muslim community was that his opposition to the Marathas, he sent a letter to Ahmed Shah Abdail of Persia for help to fight against the Marathas. Ahmed Shah Abdail Crushed the Marathas in the Battle Of Panipat in1761.
