John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

This powerful statement from Jesus sets us on the right path to our Heavenly Father. Fellowship with God happens as we come to know His son, Jesus Christ.

John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

Acquiring a knowledge of the scriptures makes Jesus Christ known to us. He is the master key to understanding God's Word. The record of Philip's conversation with the Ethiopian Eunuch illustrates how God fulfills our prayers when we desire to grow in our walk with Him.

Acts 8:26-35 "And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert... and, behold, a man of Ethiopia... Was returning, and sitting in his chariot... Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was... He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer... And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus."

The Scriptures were written to enhance our fellowship with God and Jesus Christ. As we gain an understanding of them, we grow in our believing and joyous walk with God.

I John 1:3,4 "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full."
