Most think to follow Jesus as listed in the gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) is how christians are to live today. What these fail to do is to rightly divide the truth of the scriptures from Israel and the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ's instruction (for all today) are written by our Apostle Paul in the books Romans-Philemon. This is where you will find how true christians (not self-proclaiming christians) are to live. You will find upon reading these scriptures, the life of a believer is much different than what is taught over most pulpits. First and foremost, one needs to know if they are truly a christian. And then to find out who they are and how God sees them once becoming a believer. After this, instructions on how to live the christian life will be learned...and not before. All this information is in Romans thru Philemon.

Yes. Christianity is based on what you believe about Jesus such as if you believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for the sins you have committed, and that you can live the way Jesus wants you to live if you ask Him to come into your heart and help you be true to Him. Christianity is the desire to live as much like Jesus lived as possible. It is based on what Jesus can do in your life, if you allow Him into your heart.

No, Christianity was not born out of Judaism. In reality, Christianity is based on the rejection of Judaism. Additionally, Judaism is not something to be fulfilled, it is a way of life given to us Jews as to how we can live righteously. That being said, most Christian denominations have historically taught that Christianity replaces Judaism.
