The Bible teaches that we received free, we should give free. That is the reason why nobody is asked for money, even when literature is placed with them on the doorstep.
However, the money to be able to print the literature and maintain Kingdom Halls, as our meeting places are called, comes from voluntary contributions, each giving as much or as little as they can afford.
Jesus gave the example of the widow who only gave two coins of small value, whilst others gave a lot more. He said that she gave more because she gave out of her want, but the others gave out of their excess, this shows that nobody is under compulsion to give a lot or a little, but they give from the heart.
At congregation meetings, there is no collection plate passed around EVER. There is a small box at the back where people can anonymously contribute whenever they want.
