A:
A miracle is an apparent violation of the laws of nature, whether it is the parting of the Red Sea, Jesus healing the sick, or even the Greek god Dionysus turning water into wine. For Christians, the difference between the miracles of The Bible and those of other gods is that those from the Bible are regarded as having really happened.
Another answer:
As stated above, the dictionary definition of a miracle is "an occurence that appears to be in violation of the laws of nature." And to the five limited senses of flesh and blood man... it's not difficult to be skeptical of them. Our very nature is easily deceived by its physical limitations.
But, the "miracles" the Bible speaks of cannot rightfully be described as "in violation of the laws of nature," because the One who did them "is the Creator of those laws."
"All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:3 KJV)
When He made the laws of nature which would, in turn, govern the physical universe... He wasn't a "man," but a Spirit. An All-Powerful Spirit:
"For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth." (John 4:24 NLT New Living Translation)
So, it depends on how a person reads the Bible, regarding how they see the miracles recorded therein. If a person just reads the words of the Bible with the natural, unconverted carnal mind of a man... he is skeptical.
But if a person reads and believes the "Truth of God" [the Bible; see John 17:17] in "the Spirit of the LORD"... like:
"...God can change these stones here into the children of Abraham." (Matt.3:9 NLT)
Of course, God didn't do it... and it's a truly mind-boggling concept to the limited mind of man; which is oft subject to its own fantasies that a man is more likely to believe than the perceived "fantastic" miracles of the Bible.
But -- that servant of God who reads the Bible in the "Spirit of Truth"... then, he describes the miracles of the Bible as "nothing out of the ordinary"... a "day-in-the-life." He recognizes that all things are subject to the One who made them.
And that includes the laws that He made.
