Most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church are very excited to share their faith with others. Just because they tell you something about their church or their beliefs does not mean they are trying to convert you. Even if they give you some church literature or invite you to attend their worship services at church it does not mean they are trying to convert you. They are simply excited to share what they believe and to clarify any misconceptions they think you might have about their beliefs.
You will know if a Mormon friend is serious about trying to convert a non-Mormon friend if they have missionaries come to your home. Be careful though, missionaries try to visit every home anyway. If they come because they are in the neighborhood and not because your friend sent them, they may be there to do the same thing... share what they believe and clarify any misconceptions that you have about the Church.
Pretty much, the aim of the Mormons (both members and missionaries) is simply to get their message out there, not to convert people. They believe that you must convert yourself, but it is their responsibility to make sure everyone has the information to make that decision.
Because you don't need to convert to a religion to know it isn't for you.

The Book of Mormon does not say who the prophet Mormon's grandfather was. He does say that his father was also named Mormon, but we don't know much else about his family.
You're asking to convert a unit of mass to a unit of volume. That can't be done unless we know what a specific volume of what you are trying to convert weighs.
Uhh, I don't know who "mormon beckworth is, but the term "Mormon" comes from the "Book Of Mormon", which is a sacred text to the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Mormon is a slang reference to LDS.
