How do you look after the quran?

Look after it is you would any other precious book. Do not fold its pages neither ear mark them, keep it away from damp, store it properly. Do not force the book open more than the spine will allow. Do not put anything on it which could damage it. Treat it as a friend.

I care for the Quran by I memorize it and I have it in the highest place I can find in the house. I don't leave it on the ground like any other book and I treat it with delicacy.

As a Muslim , I have to :

1. keep in reading the Holy Quran & not to leave it for more than three days so not to abandon it.

2. Listening to its great verses in my spare times.

3. Not to deal with this Holy book as any other book.

4. use its verses in beseeching for treatment when I get ill , as Allah says in the Holy Quran :

"We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss. "

( Al-Isra'a " The night journey , Children of Israel" : verse 82 )

5. Following Allah's command when He says :

"That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, In Book well-guarded, Which none shall touch but those who are clean"

(Al-Waqi'a "The Event, The Inevitable" :verses 77 -79 )

6. Following literally all what Allah commands in this Holy book in every field of life, even in the small details.

Those were some "not all" of what I have to do with the Holy Quran .

Answer:The Quran must be respected as it is the inspired word of Allah who is the creator of the universe and what is in it.

Before reading the Quran we are instructed to make ablutions or take shower, and dress modestly and properly, hold it respectfully, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the accursed, and read it carefully and think that Allah the most high is talking to you, and when you finish reading, close it and place it in the most respected place away from dirt.

We are not allowed to take the Quran to the bathroom, or a bar where liquor is served.

The Quran instructs the believer to believe in one creator who is Allah, and to believe in his angels, and his books such as the Quran, the Torah and Gospel which were revealed to his messengers such as Mohammed, Moses, Jesus, and to believe in his messengers, starting from Noah, down to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed and to believe in the day of Judgment and last to believe in predestination.

The Qur'an is the sacred book of the Muslim religion, believed in the Islamic faith to be the word of God, or Allah, as revealed by the Angel Gabriel to Muhammad, the last prophet of Allah or God. Thus the book is considered divine. The Qur'an is to Islam as Torah is to Judaism, or the New Testament is to Christianity.

Answer:If you are a nonbeliever you don't have to do the routine above though. The Quran and other holy books can be bought in bookstores online (like Amazon etc) or ordinary bookstores and also in specialized religious bookstores. Check your yellow pages for that one.

• They don't hold the book for reciting or memorizing unless they are on valid ablution.
• They keep the holy book texts in an honored and distinguished location at home.
• They follow the holy book guides and commands.
• They find in reading the Quran or listening to it an effective way for release of their stresses, worries, or grievances.
• They try to memorize as much as possible of the Quran chapters and verses and study Quran interpretations.

Quran, being the words of God (Allah), is fully respected by Muslims.

Muslims use Quran as:

• the source of God commands 'do and not to do'
• the guide to good morals and social behavior
• the source of the rules of marriage, divorce, inheritance, ... etc
• the source of God historical tales for wisdom and advice
• the source that reveals the corruption and falsification of other holy books
• the source of scientific statements that their validity and authentication proved only by current scientific and technological approaches. These scientific miracles prove that Quran is God revelation and not human authorship and writing.

Accordingly, Muslims for feeling the importance of Quran, they:

• recite it frequently
• memorize it fully or partly per their capacity
• follow it in their saying and doings
• learn its meanings and explanations
