This is not enumerated in the Bible. While the apostles are named and counted as 12, there are no references to how many disciples there were, although we do know they were not all men - the women were also disciples.
They were fishers of men. Of course..............
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.John 13:35
All 12 disciples were men
at a dock. the fishers of men is what they were called.
They were all Jewish men.
It's the first four and it can be found in Matthew 4: 18 - 22.
He told them to go and make disciples.
The disciples didn't have to do anything. Jesus chose regular men and transformed them into preachers, teachers and healers. And that is what God can do for you if you let him :)
We called the 12 men as disciples.
disciples
He calls Simon and Andrew “fishers of men” because, to me, they were ordinary people that could connect with the masses while simultaneously following the Gospel. Fishermen had traits that Jesus valued in his disciples. He chose disciples that were willing to learn. He chose disciples that were patient and determined.
