Well you could come up with many answers to this, but the main one I think is if you are obedient, you won't break God's laws and basic expectations. Obedience is one of the key things that helps you serve God.
Obedience to God has big effects on humans. Being obedient to God means wholly following him, it makes him proud and as a result , he blesses us.
Obedience is the first law, if we are that then all things that are required of us will follow naturally.
A:Christians are taught to believe that God will help us, so from a theological perspective you ought to believe that God will help us. However, the evidence is that God does not help us here on earth, and it is only a matter of speculation whether he helps us in the afterlife - if there is indeed an afterlife.
In my opinion there is god to help YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ad OTHERS
To serve a variety of purposes as determined by God's plan for us.
Beacause God created us! if you read in the Bible when the angel lucifer tried to become all powerfull he got kicked out of heaven. God loves us and only wants our love and obedience!
The sacraments help us to see and experience the presence of God in our lives and the world around us. They serve as tangible signs of grace, deepening our spiritual understanding and connection to divine mysteries. Through the sacraments, we gain insights into our identity as part of the faith community and the transformative power of God's love. Ultimately, they guide us toward a more profound relationship with God and one another.
Disobedience drives the spirit away. Without the spirit you will loose your faith in Christ and stop believing. ------------------------------------------- This is from a great Bible Study called Breaking Free by Beth Moore : "Obedience does not mean sinlessness but confession and repentance when we sin. Obedience is not arriving at a perpetual state of godliness but perpetually following hard after God. Obedience is not living miserable by a set of laws but inviting the Spirit of God to flow freely through us so the power to be victorious comes from God and not from us. Obedience is learning to love and treasure God's Word and see it as our safety. ....................Although the Spirit of the Lord is always in us {as Christians}, He floods only the parts of our lives where He is in authority. Freedom flows where the Spirit of the Lord floods."
It helps us to understand God's creation.
God ALWAYS helps us.
Studying the lives of the patriarchs can teach us about the importance of faith, perseverance, obedience, and God's faithfulness in fulfilling His promises. We can also learn from their mistakes and struggles, gaining insight into how to navigate challenges and grow spiritually in our own lives. Ultimately, their stories serve as examples of how to trust in God and follow His will even in the midst of difficulties.
I know that my answer will be debated but the Bible is pretty clear on this subject. The gifts you are given are decided by God not by man and they are given at the moment of salvation not baptism. Jesus was baptized; do you think that it was then that he became God? Baptism is an outward display of your obedience and can be in itself a great testimony of God's love for us and help bring someone into the fold.
