The Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 have teachings from Jesus as to mankind should love God and His neighbor. It reveals the future in the Beatitudes (inheriting the Earth, not Heaven), expands the Law of God, reveals how we should pray in the 'model prayer' ofter misnamed the Lord's Prayer. It shows how we will be judged in the future for our actions today. Each reader will extract varying topics while reading and re-reading.
Christmas is not a Festival or Holy Day of God and is not in the Scriptures. Any dictionary or encyclopaedia will inform the reader of its origins in pagan custom, attempting to put a date on the birth of Christ. It was strongly pushed in the USA in the mid-late 19th Century as a commercial tool to increase sales. A close read of the birth story in the Gospels will shed much light upon the contemporary story of Christmas.
