Spirit can mean "breath" or "life-force"....or in other words...the energy that causes a person to live or be alive. The breath of life. (Genesis 2:7)
How we know this is because in The Bible at PSalms 146:4 it says - " 4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish."
Ecclesiastes 3:18-22 shows that man dies in the same manner as the beasts, for "they all have but one spirit [weru′ach], so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast," that is, as to the life-force common to both. This being so, it is clear that the "spirit," or life-force (ru′ach), as used in this sense is impersonal. It does NOT live beyond death.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 states that at death the person's body returns to the dust, "and the spirit itself returns to the true God who gave it."
So, the person himself was never in heaven with God; what "returns" to God is therefore the vital force that enabled the person to live.
The dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. ECCLESIASTES 12:7
The promise of God the Father is the Holy Spirit that was sent to comfort us so that we would not be orphans while we wait for Christs' return. The Holy Spirit and the 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit empower believers in Biblical times and now.
Yes. You have to separate yourself from people and places that the evil spirit may be in. Just because the spirit was casted out doesn't mean it can't return. When the spirit is cast out it leaves an empty space. That space must be filled with the word of God and the Holy Spirit in order for that spirit never to return. That's like plucking the weeds out of your yard. If you don't uproot the weeds out of the ground, eventually that weed is going to grow again.
Yes, the Holy Spirit is considered to be the spirit of God in Christian theology.
its both yahweh means or is god and god is a spirit
Spirit = Wairua God = Atua
God has always been Spirit: He did not becomeone.
Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity (God the father, God the Son, and God the Spirit). The Holy Spirit sanctifies and heals.
A dove represents the holy spirit... God exists in three persons. God the father, God the son and God the holy ghost or spirit.
Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. God the Father, and God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This would make the Holy Spirit a He. Through out Scripture the attributes of God and a real person are attributed to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a He and not an it.
Remember there are three parts of god..God the father, God the son, And god the holy spirit. God the father is in heaven, god the son was jesus..And he was a man. god the holy spirit is a spirit. so god was a man.. It was his son..He who died for your sins.
No. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Judeo-Christian God, believed to be the true God. Zeus was a pagan god worshiped in ancient Greece.
