Even though they belived in completely different gods, they made a role model for religions today. The way they respected their gods is the way most of religions respect their god/gods today. Also their religion was bounded to their literature. And we all know how comedies and tragedies left a trace on todays literature.
The Greeks have impacted some of today's modern-day architecture.

Today, the religion of the Hebrews and of the modern Jews, is Judaism. (Jooday izzum)
I don't know about in modern times, but in Ancient times, virtually all Greeks believed in their gods, which we call Greek Mythology. For the Greeks, their religion was much more important in their lives than religion is for many people today. In fact, their religion was a lifestyle for them. As for modern days, I'm hazarding the guess that there are a lot less people who are greek or live in Greece that believe in ancient Greek Mythology. Hope I helped! :)
The Ancient Greeks created the religion in which Demeter was worshiped, the smaller stories of that religion (much like there are bible stories today) are what form now as "myths".
Greece is the modern-day country where the ancient Greeks were located.
Many of the sports that are in today weren`t included and some were eliminated today like pankration for example.
Historically, ancient Greeks were polytheistic, worshiping a pantheon of gods and goddesses. However, in modern times, the majority of Greeks are followers of the Greek Orthodox Christian faith, which is monotheistic.
Of course not. That was the religion of ancient Greece. The majority of Greeks today are Greek Orthodox Christians. If, and IF there are ANY people left today who still practice that religion, it is because they want to "show off" their ancestors, so to speak. Nobody truly worships the gods as in the old days anymore, however.
Greek mythology is not a recognized religion today. While the myths themselves continue to be studied and appreciated for their cultural and literary significance, they are not actively practiced as a religion by any modern communities.
Well slavery seriously impacted us until the Civil War. Some of the agricultural ideas were passed on also. The religion was not very important and had no effect on the government, like today.
Because they were a place the Ancient Greeks went to pray, and their ancient religion was a big part in their gov. and society, at the time. Today, it is a tourist place with many historic meanings.
