Lashmi is known as the goddess of wealth. However, she is something more than that.
Lakshmi has eight secondary manifestations.
They are,
1. Adi Lakshmi
2. Dhana Lakshmi
3. Dhanya Lakshmi
4. Gaja Lakshmi
5. Santana Lakshmi
6. Veera Lakshmi
7. Vijaya Lakshmi
8. Vidya Lakshmi.
In fact, there are many more manifestations.
However, even all these don't represent the capabilities of Lashmi.
Lakshmi is the consort of Vishnu. Vishnu is symbolic of the Semi voluntary force.
The Semi voluntary force is one of the seven plus one forces we are endowed with to control our skeletal muscles and, through them, our entire life.
The Semi voluntary force:
In this there is a layer of Voluntary force sandwiched between two layers of Involuntary force. Beyond the layers of Involuntary force are the positive and the negative attitudes. The attitudes act as fences of this force. Therefore, this force maintains status quo.
Therefore, Vishnu, who is symbolic of this force, is known as the preserver. Since the semi voluntary force merges all of our activities into a single giant activity called life, Vishnu is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.
The voluntary component of the Semi voluntary force is what we call 'I'. The Involuntary component is what we call Self.
The Lakshmi component in the Semi voluntary force:
'I' is directly under our control but self is not. Thus, we can't have control over our thoughts and movements near the attitudes i.e. if we use the Semi voluntary force at its limits. Therefore, we create a new reference state or starting point between our 'I' and our attitudes. This enables us to control our Self easily. This new reference state is what we call goddess Lakshmi.
Thus, like Vishnu, Lakshmi too is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient but to a lesser extent. However, she is more easily accessible than Vishnu and is a means to him.
Thus, in terms of human physiology, Lakshmi is symbolic of the Semi voluntary part of the Semi voluntary force.
