David was around 70 when he died.

(2 Samuel 5:4-5) Thirty years old was David when he became king. For forty years he ruled as king. In He′bron he ruled as king over Judah for seven years and six months; and in Jerusalem he ruled as king for thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.

2Sa 5:4-5 KJV David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. (5) In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
