No one knows how many churches exist in Cuba. The only officially permitted churches are the Roman Catholic. However, more Cubans are Methodist than any other denomination. Just because one bureaucrat gives a group of Methodist to buy property and build a church does not mean another bureaucrat will pay any attention to the piece of paper. Many Christians meet in secret in private homes hoping the communist authorities will not catch them. Such churches feed those who would otherwise starve in the glorious people's republic.
