They are split as follows: 2 rak'as before Fajr (morning) prayer. 2 before zuhr (mid-day) prayer and 4 after it. 2 after Maghreb (sunset) prayer. And, finally, 2 after Eisha (evening) prayer. Five prayers.
In a day, Muslims perform a total of 17 rakats in their obligatory prayers (Salah). This includes 4 rakats for Fajr, 4 for Dhuhr, 2 for Asr, 3 for Maghrib, and 4 for Isha. Additionally, there are optional prayers (Sunnah and Nafl) that can be performed, but the 17 rakats are the minimum required for the daily prayers.
In Islam, there are five daily prayers, known as Salah, which are obligatory for adult Muslims. Each prayer has a specific time and includes a set number of units called Rak'ahs. The five prayers are Fajr (2 Rak'ahs), Dhuhr (4 Rak'ahs), Asr (4 Rak'ahs), Maghrib (3 Rak'ahs), and Isha (4 Rak'ahs), totaling 17 Rak'ahs throughout the day. Additionally, there are optional prayers and Sunnah prayers that can be performed for extra merit.
The duration of Salah (prayer) can vary depending on the specific prayer and the individual's pace, but typically, each of the five daily prayers takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. The Fard (obligatory) prayers, like Dhuhr, Asr, and Maghrib, usually take around 5 to 7 minutes, while the longer prayers such as Isha may take slightly more time. Additional Sunnah or Nafl prayers can extend the duration. Overall, the total time spent on daily prayers can range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the individual's practice and the number of additional units performed.
The Zuhr prayer consists of four rakats (units of prayer) that are performed after the sun has passed its zenith. It is one of the five daily prayers in Islam and is typically offered in a quiet, contemplative manner. After the four rakats, it is customary to perform two additional sunnah rakats, though these are not obligatory.
Good prayers can be found almost anywhere. Many local churches will create their own website, which could then be used for prayer. Some religious websites also update their webpages daily with new prayers and new things to think about when praying. Some websites will offer different prayers for different circumstances, while others will offer prayers in multiple languages.
