His message of the coming Kingdom is to go out into all the nations of the world for a witness and a warning against the Judgment: "...teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you..." (Matt.28:20).
But, it's those whom He sends... and those who "believe" the witness and warning, who convert and conform to His Words for whom He prayed [and prays, today].
"For I have given unto them the Words which thou gavest Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send Me. I PRAY FOR THEM: I pray not for the world, but FOR THEM WHICH THOU HAST GIVEN ME; for they are thine." (John 17:8-9)
"I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that THOU SHOULDEST KEEP THEM FROM THE EVIL... NEITHER PRAY I FOR THESE ALONE, but FOR THEM ALSO WHICH SHALL BELIEVE ON ME THROUGH THEIR WORD; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in US: that the world may believe that thou hast sent Me." (verses 15-21)

I am a main stream Christian and Pray to the God of the Holy Christian Bible. Specifically to God the Father, that is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, and I end my prayer in Jesus's Name as it was He who has given me the authority to pray to God the father and this was by His death and resurrection.
