How many times was Jesus anointed by oil in the bible?

Mary of Bethany anoints Jesus: Matthew 26 verse 6 and 7: now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, there came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

Jesus anointed at Bethany: mark chapter 14 verse 3: and being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there cam a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she broke the box, and poured it on his head.

Jesus and the woman: luke chapter 7 verse 37 and 38: and, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the pharisee's house brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Mary anoints Jesus: john chapter 12 verse 3: then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house with the odour of the ointment.

The 24 references of 'anointing' in the Old Testament, all refer to the pouring out of oil or ointment on some holy vessel or on some priest.

One reference in the New Testament refers to this practice also, (James 5.14); and the final reference, (1 John 2.27), refers to the presence of the Holy Spirit with us always.

So there are three meanings for anointing in The Bible; one, as to pouring oil on a holy object, (OT); one as to pouring oil on a person: and one, as to the Holy Spirit within a person.
