A:The Book of Esther tells us that Esther married King Xerxes (Ahasuerus) of Persia and became queen. The Book of Esther is not regarded by scholars as factual, and the marriage of Esther and Xerxes is not historical. King Xerxes was married to Queen Amestris at the very time that the book says he divorced Vashti and married Esther, and remained married to Amestris for at least the next several years.
Esther became Queen when she married King Ahasuerus.
A:The Book of Esther places Esther during the reign of Xerxes, who was king of Persia from 486 to 465 BCE. The book says that the first wife of Xerxes, Queen Vashti, was banished in the third year of his reign and that Esther was selected as queen soon afterwards. The Book of Esther does not say whether Esther was queen fortheremainder of Xerxes' reign but, if so, she would have been queen for some 18 years. Scholars say there are good reasons to believe that the story is fictional and that there never was a Queen Esther of Persia. There is no historical record of either Vashti or Esther, and Queen Amestris is accepted by historians as Xerxes' only wife for the first several years of his reign. From a historical perspective, Esther was never really a queen.
Esther was the Queen of Persia. The king was Xerxes who reigned from 485 BC - 465BC so sometime during his reign he married Esther.
Queen esther in the book of Esther was jewish orphan and as the king was looking for a beautiful young girl to be his queen, she was roughly 19 years of age.
The Esther in the Bible married the King Ahasuerus.
After queen Vast-hi disobeyed the king and was exiled. The king then chose a new queen, and it was Esther.
King Ahasuerus
According to the Book of Esther, three people came to Queen Esther's banquet: King Ahasueros, Queen Esther, and Haman.
Esther replaced Queen Vashti as queen after Queen Vashti refused to come to the King's banquet.
Queen Esther went to the king ,after she and her servants fasted for a week. Even though the king did not call for Esther orhad he extended the royal sceptre. She walked boldly to the king.
Esther chapter 2 tells us that when the wrath of the king was appeased, the king's servants brought fair young virgins from around the kingdom, for King Ahaseurus to choose. Overall, the story suggests that it could not have been a very long time before he chose Esther. However, we have no ancient source other than the Book of Esther to make this judgement. The name Ahaseurus corresponds to the Persian King Xerxes, but historians say that he was never married to any queen called either Vashti or Esther. Queen Amestris is accepted by historians as Xerxes' only wife for the first several years of his reign.
