How much does Heaven cost?

Heaven now costs simply nothing, but only because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. To get to heaven we do need to have faith (which is the substance of things unseen) and we need to know that Jesus paid it all through death on a cross. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This verse means that no one goes to heaven without knowing Jesus as their savior and Lord!

I am not sure if the question was a joke or something serious but I would like to add onto the answer.I agree with the person above, without Jesus, no one is going to come to the Father, Jesus is the Door and the Good Shepherd, he will not loose all those the Father has granted to him for no one can pluck his sheep out of his hand. Here is what scripture has to say:

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."(Romans 6:23)

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. " Ephesians 2:8-9

"But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,"Titus 3:4-5

Salvation cannot be "earned" or "bought". First of all, we do not deserve salvation, we do not deserve Heaven. Our sins condemn us and by nature, we are children of wrath, enemies of God, and lost. All we have ever done is sin since our youth and all of us will have to stand before God someday and have to give an account.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation." Romans 5:9-11

Also notice that most people, regardless of their religious background, have always had the sense that there is something wrong. Humans have always felt the need to sacrifice something in order to maintain blessings and to earn their way to God. Our conscience testifies to us that we are sinners, we are separate from God. Only in Christianity do we have God himself offering the sacrifice.

Do you recall the instance when Abraham brought his son Issac up to sacrifice him and just as he was about to do so, he was stopped because God himself would offer the sacrifice? In the same way, about 2000 years ago, God took his Son and offered him as a sacrifice,only this time the sacrifice was not stopped yet completed. In both instances, it was God who offered the sacrifice for us, not the other way around.
