The events highlighted in Matthew and Luke Chapters 3 and 4 reveal that Jesus was about 30 years old when he was tempted in the wilderness.
Luke 3:22,23 "And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age..."
Matthew 3:16-4:1 "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water... And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."
In The Bible, a young person is referred to as a youth until he reaches age thirty. According to Jewish custom, no person was allowed to teach until he was thirty years old, nor was he considered for membership in the Sanhedrin (the ruling body of Israel) until he had reached thirty.
Luke 4:13-15 "And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all."
Actually Jesus was in the desert for forty days and nights. And yes he did get tempted by Satan. Three times.
When Jesus is tempted by Satan three times, Jesus rebuffs those attacks and the devil leaves him.
The New Testament does not give any information of the "wilderness" of Jesus' temptation.
LENT
The bible clearly states that Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness.
It all started when Jesus was in the desert been tempted by the devil.
Many times. All three of his responses when he was tempted in the desert are from Deuteronomy.
The devil tempted Jesus three times while he was in the desert for forty days. First, he tempted Jesus to make bread from stone. Second, Jesus was tempted to jump from a cliff so angels could catch him. Finally, he was tempted to worship the devil.
Mat 4:1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Jesus actually was tempted, when he was living on this earth. It says in Matthew 4:1- Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. Jesus had been fasting in the desert for 40 days, then the devil came to him and said If you are really Jesus than turn those stones into bread. Jesus replied saying man shall not live on bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of the father. The devil tempts Him in other ways and still Jesus resisted it. Some people might say well if Jesus was tempted than he sinned and if he sinned then he couldn't be God. Being tempted isn't a sin, it's what you do with that temptation that makes it wrong.
When Jesus and Satan encountered each other in the desert, Satan tempted Jesus three times, but Jesus resisted each temptation by quoting scripture. Ultimately, Jesus emerged victorious over Satan's temptations.
Jesus got tempted thrice in the wilderness by Satan.
