It was even more impossible to perform than the rabbis' teaching of the law of Moses, being an enlargement of that law, and showing that man could please God only by faith in Jesus.
After delivering the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus went to various places to continue teaching and performing miracles, including Capernaum, Bethsaida, and other towns in Galilee.
Jesus quoted from 24 different Old Testament books. The New Testament as a whole quotes from 34 books of the Old Testament Books. It was normal for wandering rabbis, of which there were several in the time of Jesus, o begin public ministry at around 30 years of age. We can presume that Jesus followed this pattern. Jesus ministered for approximately 3 years, so He would have been between the ages of 30 and 33 when He preached the Sermon on the Mount.
Jesus tells us to believe in him so that we may love God and love each other, and have eternal life.
The most famous sermon of Jesus christ is called The sermon on the mount.
The whole teaching was called the Sermon on the Mount because Jesus taught from a mountainside with people sat around him. Within this Sermon, there were a group of simple 'sayings' which all began with "Blessed are...." - for example, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth". These are known as 2The Beatitudes"
One important message from the sermon on the mount is the teaching on humility and compassion towards others, as exemplified in the Beatitudes. Jesus emphasizes the value of meekness, mercy, and peacemaking, encouraging his followers to live in a way that reflects these virtues in their interactions with others.
Jesus' life is a sermon because He is THE sermon. He is the way, the truth and the life. He is the EXAMPLE throughout the Bible. He wants us as believers to fallow his example. And to teach the sermon of his example, to fallow hard after Him, to seek Him. :)
