How will the Shahadah affect the daily life of Muslims?

Shahada is part of sallah or salat (the daily prayers). It is the declaration of faith to their god, Allah. They recite this daily to prove that they still believe in him. They say "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad (PBUH) is his prophet" or a similar alternative.

By understanding who his Lord is as well as the purpose of his creation, a person will be able to achieve success in this life and the next. This belief produces the highest degree of self-respect and self esteem. Along with self-respect, this belief also generates a sense of modesty and humbleness. The belief in 'Laa ilaaha illallaah' also creates an attitude of peace and contentment.
