One has to distinguish, religiously speaking, suicides, accidents and sacrifices. the last one we can tactfully omit.-if someone intentionally takes their own life, this was long considered to be the unpardonable sin- and at one time suicides could not be buried in church cemeteries, or sanctified ground- this has changed, not due to tolerance for the act, but because it is impossible to accurately judge the human soul- for man. Some types of suicides can take other lives in accidents and so on- not good. It is wrong, dead wrong, but whether it is forgivable or not- the church prefers to suspend judgement.
why would you want to commit suicide you will die when God thinks you have had enough time in the world
i dont beleive in crummy old god. but naw it isnt a sin
In taking your own life you are turning your back the one of the best things God has given us, the very gift of life itself. In the bible it says thou shalt not murder (the ten commandments). so therefore it is a sin to commit murder or suicide. However it is worse to commit suicide, because there is no time to be forgiven. By commiting suicide you have commited murder with no spare time for forgiveess. If you commit murder you have time for remorse or forgiveness.
Firstly life isgods gift, not meant to be ended by suicide. It takes courage to commit suicide , but only cowards commit suicide, do not throw this life so easily . God gives life and god takes life. Those who commit suicide will go to hell.
because he wanted to tell God, "you can't fire me, I quit!"
Not for that reason alone. The Bible says that the only sin which won't be forgiven is if you call God evil, and that all others can be forgiven. As long as they ask God for forgivness and truly feel sorry, it will be forgiven.Hope thsi helps answer your q! :)Roman Catholic AnswerAny sin, including attempting suicide can be forgiven if the person turns to God, confesses his sin to a priest, has contrition (sincere sorry for offending God) or attrition (fear of going to hell), says his penance, and sincerely attempts to not sin again. The only "unforgivable" sin is to think that you do not need forgiveness, in other words, you are perfectly fine yourself, and do not need God at all. We all must realize our inherent sinfulness in order to be forgiven.
They go to hell. Unless they believe in god. Then they probably go to heaven.
That depends what religionChristianitythere is only one God and he is loving and kind.... a long time ago he let his only son Jesus Christ be born by a virgin then lived a perfect life and died so we can be forgiven of our sins and we can still be forgiven today if you commit your life to Christ!!
god you're stupid. Just commit suicide if you're reading this.
From Islamic perspective, Committing Suicide is a sin. The one committing suicide is sinful and promised to go to Hell in the day of Judgment.Any sin is forgiven, per the will of the All-Merciful God, and if the sinner admits his sin, intends not to do it again, and repents. However, the sinner who commits suicide has no way to repent or ask God for forgiveness.
In Dante's Inferno, those who commit suicide are condemned to the seventh circle. They are transformed into thorny trees and bushes, where they are torn apart by Harpies for eternity. This punishment reflects the idea that by taking their own lives, they have rejected the gift of life given by God.
By refusing a funeral to a victim of suicide the Church was, essentially, judging that person. Only God can make the decision of who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. Many of those who commit suicide are suffering from mental illness and not fully responsible for their actions.
