The best answer I can think of (and undoubtedly the most controversial) is religion. Some religions state that the Earth was created approximately 4000 years ago along with the rest of the universe. I am neither agreeing with or discrediting religions that state this, only pointing out that they contradict what some scientific discoveries (such as the results of carbon dating) have proclaimed.
it is 4.5 billion years old
Scientists believe that the Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old based on radiometric dating of rocks and meteorites.
scientists believe it.
Some people believe the earth was first created 4.6 billion years ago, humans did not exist, nor did any other life forms. Humans didn't come into being until 15 million years ago, about 4.45 billion year's into earth's history.
Yes, very. Although some people don't believe this, scientific evidence says the Earth is around 4.5 billion years old, which is very old indeed.
10 billion light years was the distance. And we believe it was a quasar.
Scientists believe that about 13.7 billion years have passed since the beginning of time. 13.7 billion years is 1.37 billion decades.
No. The universe itself is about 13.7 billion years old. Earth is between 4.5 and 4.6 billion years old.
Earth did not exist 700 billion years ago, nor did the universe. Earth is about 4.6 billion years old.
The Earth is estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old, formed approximately 9 billion years after the formation of the universe. This age is determined through radiometric dating of rocks and meteorites.
It is just a fact that earth is 4.6 billion years old.
The Earth is currently 4.5 billion years, so in approximately 2.5 billion years time.
