I look at it as 10% of what I have. Since all I have is bought with money and that is the day's currency, I tithe with money (as opposed to giving 10% of my couch). That being said, I tithe on all monies that enter into my possession. So, definitely my check, but also any money I receive aside from that. Simply b/c that new money becomes what I have, it's still a blessing from God, and maybe the person I got it from didn't tithe on it, so I feel better about it that way.
