.At that time, the vassal Priests appointed by Rome (Ciaphas and Annas) and their Saduccean counterparts had the masses convinced the focus of power of God was with them and inb the Temple cult in Jerusalem, but the true God was always with the people of faith no matter where they were. So Jesus was showing Himself to be more powerful than the Saduccees and showing His relationship to God the father by using a prophetic gift with what is called a "Near tiime fulfillment". He made the prediction that the Temple would be destroyed making Him the "coming Anointed one" in Daniel 9 who would be cut off (Isaiah 53:8) before the sestruction of the second Temple (which had not been built in Daniels time). The Pharisees and Saduccees knew this was the Prophecy that predicted that the Sacrificial System would cease. In 70 A.D. Titus of Rome seiged the Holy City and destroyed it. Not a stone of the temple was left unturned exactly as Jesus said.
