note : *jatt is a RACE not a cast* sikhism does not have a Caste System. There are jatt tribes that are so called “last names“ now, jassam or josan or jassar how ever you spell it it a jatt tribe jassam tribe is from northern pakista/gurdaspur area. People use josan or jassar instead of jassam but it’s a small tribe of jatts, that are also found in Jammu and kashmir. Jassam Jatts are not related to josan or jassar they are distant cousins of the gill jatts.

To add on the answer, the tribe “jassam or jasam“ is a lost jatt clan and it is really overwritten by other jatt tribe names at this point but it is found in pakistani i think they are straight decedents of Gill jatts. However overtime people started living in different areas and started adopting different names but the jatt blood stays the same no matter what.
