Never Ever. The forest fires plaguing the Western United States are a result of the weather, which is incredibly dry. This makes the trees and other foliage incredibly flammable. Eventually some sparks catch fire, either by lightning, by pure heat, or by an accidental cigarette butt, but then the fires expand rapidly since the foliage is so inflammable.

Is political Islam a threat to the west?

I would tend to think not, Islam, if viewed from a political perspective, shoudl be focused on establishing and perfecting teh practice of Islam within the country they rule. The west tends to view Islam as a threat to them for whatever reason, in recent history though, it seems the threat of Islam as viewed by teh west, is purely economic due to the control of oil.
