The Christian Congregation is governed based on the Biblical first century pattern as outlined in the Holy Scriptures:

Jehovah God is the ultimate head. (1 Corinthians 11:3; 15:27; Ephesians 1:22, 23)

Under him, Jesus is the head of the congregation. (Ephesians 1:22, 23; 5:23)

He uses the faithful and discreet slave class to administer the affairs of his congregation. (Matthew 24:45-47)

The governing body represents the interests of this slave class. (Acts 15:6-30; 16:4)

The day to day affairs of the local congregations are adminstered by local elders and ministerial servants. (Various translations may call the elders "older men" or "bishops" and ministerial servants "assistants" or "deacons".) (Acts 14:23; 1 Timothy 3:1-12; Titus 1:5)
