Samashrayanam means 'to approach (Acharya) with all sincerity'.In a nut shell , during 'Samashrayanam' ,the Acharya initiates a person , irrespective of caste, creed or sex, as his sishya. It is a commitment from the disciple that he or she will live as per the wishes of the Acharya. Thus the person gets the link to the Sri Vaishnava parampara. During SamAshrayanam ,Pancha SamskAram (five fold Purifications) is performed and he becomes a "Sri VaishnavA".
SamAshrayanam marks a great turning point in the journey of jIvAtmA through the cycle of repeated birth and death. The Pancha SamskAram performed is invaluable. But , one has to keep up the samskAram by his regular devotional activities. The samskArams done loses its significance when one starts indulging in more materialistic activities , without caring about the Supreme Lord Sriman NArAyanA . The whole purpose of SamAshrayanam is to make a person ( jIvAtmA ) get involved in the sanAtana dharmA ( eternal dharmA) of performing Kainkaryam to Divya Dampati ( MahALakshmi & NArAyanA ). Surrender and love towards the Supreme Lord Sriman NArAyanA is the only purpose of human life . SamAshrayanam helps in a great way to make a person progress towards achieving this goal. The disciple should be highly thankful to the AchAryA for his great compassion. He should take deep interest in the SampradAyam & gain the true knowledge from kAlakshepams (Discourses) either under the lotus feet of his achAryA or under other SriVaishnava achAryAs his achAryA directs him to do so
It is important to note that not all Iyengars hate Iyers, and vice versa. However, historical and cultural differences between the two Brahmin communities in South India have led to some tensions and prejudices. These differences can include variations in customs, traditions, and religious practices. It is essential to approach such sensitive topics with an open mind and understanding of the complexities of inter-community relationships.
Amongst all Srivaishnavas, there is a unique initiation ceremony into the Vaishnavite Brahmin brotherhood along with the Upanayanam. The Vasihnavite youngster is initiated into Iyengar fraternity by branding him with the Chakram(wheel) and the sanghu(conch), which are holy symbols associated with Lord Vishnu. The ceremony of initiation called Samashrayanam is usually carried out by the head of a Vaishnavite mutt. The knot in the sacred thread worn by Vaishnavites is known as Vishnu Grandhi as opposed to those worn by Smarthas which is known as Rudra Grandhi
Some Hindus are vegetarians and do not eat burgers that have meat in it. Some are non-vegetarians and eat burgers that have meat. And some Hindus are so orthodox that they don't even eat bakery items and food that is prepared outside their home or temples. Especially Iyengars who have had Samasrayanam eat only the food that is the remnants of food offered to Sriman NArAyanA.

Yes, Paraiyars are called as "Paradas" in ancient india. Paraiyars came from North India. They were Buddhists lived under Mauryan Dynasty, it collapsed, they came down to Deccan Plateau and lived as one among the "Satavahana Dynasty",Then it also was ruined as they were Staunch buddhists, they moved down to Tamilnadu and lived under Kalabhara rule. Paraiyars entered Tamilnadu during 3rd cenutry A.D.Paraiyars have (DNA) Y chromosome haplogroup " G2a", This haplogroup is found Central Asia. In India 90% of "Jats", 30% of "Iyers" and 30% of "Iyengars" have this Y chromosome haplogroup.
Answer 1The main reason would be that most people from Devanga / Iyer community eat non-veg and hence others from Brahmin community like - Iyengars, Smarthas and Madhavas dont consider them to be Brahmins. To conclude Trimatasta includes only Iyengars, Smarthas and Madhavas.Answer 2I think, it doesn't matter who believes in this fact or not.Devangas are (/were) the purest community (Deva Bhramana) and lived extremely close to Vedas and Hindu Gods. The world should know this hidden fact, 'Gayathri Mantra' was formed by "Devangas" (Devanga Rishis), with the extreme power and blessings of "Devi Gayathri' (Five Faced Hindu Goddess).Answer 3They believe it or not ,both communities get along well together since ancient times and are together in education and temple and religious rituals. only difference is that brahmins are able to do upanayana before 5years age of boy, where as devangas due to financial inability merged thread ceremony during marriage before tieing the knot since few centuries back. All devanga community men where yagnopaveeta and are ardent followers of mata Gayatri and the thread made of 27 tatvas as per brahma sutra.Devangas do not engage Brahmins for all rituals like weddings, sraddhas, pujas as there are pujaris, Vedpandits, jyotishkulu available from same community and all yagnas&pujas are done by people from same community since ages. To cite an example the pagalankarana ritual ( Clothing of Gods) for Lord Shiva in Srisailam (One of the jyotirlingas) is done only by Devangas only and during this time even pujaris are not allowed to see the ritual. They are ardent Shivites even today most names of people are those of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Some siblings of Devala Maharshi(Devala Manu Brahma) took to Vaishnavism with the blessing of Narada Maharshi.Devangas are not considered as brahmins because they were dealing with other communities for completion of silk cloth or cotton cloth. For silk cloth with sourastrians and for cotton cloth with dye manufacturers.Because of interaction with these people devangas used to consume non vegitarian food and some people used consume alcohol in ancient India.SACRED thread was worn even with gayathri mantra But daily sandya vandan is not religiously followed.Could be because of these devangas are not considered as brahmins but as Deva brahmins.
