umm... Roswell? No, actually, the Bible doesn't say.
Lucifer was his name in heaven when he was in heaven. When he rebelled and was cast down to earth his name was changed to Satan, aka the devil.
Satan is a created being. He was one of the most important angels in heaven, but he sinned and was cast out of heaven. He still has limited access to heaven but spends much of his time on earth. The planet earth has an atmosphere that is breathable for human beings. We call the oxygen we breathe "air". Since Satan has his domain on earth (after getting it away from Adam) and rules from earth he is called the "prince of the power of the air".
The archangel Michael has cast Satan from heaven down to the earth. Revelation 20:1-3 says an angel in heaven has a key to the abyss where Satan is held for 1,000 years. The resurrected Jesus seated at the right hand of God can be identified with these events.
Satan was cast out of heaven before the creation of the world, according to Christian beliefs.
It doesn't say Satan was walking through heaven but walking on earth. This is in the Old Testament book of Job:Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.Job 1:7 And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."
According to Christian beliefs, God kicked Satan out of heaven before the creation of the world, when Satan rebelled against God.
