Yes she is. The next woman mentioned is Ruth.
Ruth, Tamar, and Rahab
They are listed in Jesus genealogy. Matthew 1:3-6.
Tamar and Rahab are not directly related, but they are both prominent women in the genealogy of Jesus as outlined in the Bible. Tamar, a Canaanite woman, is mentioned in the Book of Genesis for her role in ensuring the continuation of her father-in-law Judah's lineage. Rahab, a Jerichoite prostitute, is noted in the Book of Joshua for helping the Israelite spies and is also included in the genealogy of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. Both women are celebrated for their strength and faith, making significant contributions to biblical narratives.
The Bible identifies three African women in Jesus' bloodline: Tamar, Rahab, and Ruth. Tamar was Canaanite, Rahab was a Canaanite prostitute, and Ruth was a Moabite. These women are mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus in the book of Matthew.
one thing for sure would be the opening of Matthew to the gentiles. Why? Because in his genealogy there are names of gentile women like Rut or Racab while not mentioning other important figures.
Tamar Damaris born in 33 AD was the first daugther of Jesus and Maria Magdalena. She born six months after the cruxifiction. There are no Tamara's found in the Bible. Tamar is mentioned in the Bible 11 times, and refers to 4 different Tamar's: 1. Jacob's son Judah's Daughter in Law (Genesis 38) This Tamar is mentioned in Matthew as one of Jesus ancestors. 2. A daughter of Kind David who was raped by her half-brother Absalom 3. A daughter of Absalom 4. A city built by King Solomon See the related link for more information:
There are two set's of twins mentioned in the bible and I'm sure this has been answered before. We have Esau and Jacob, and Tamar's twins Zeresh and Pharez. However, there is sketchy talk of Thomas (a disciple of Jesus) being a twin for the meaning of his name. there is also talk of Joseph's sons being twins but i doubt it for scripture would have said so.
They are all in the Biblical lineage, leading from Abraham to Jesus(Matthew 1:1-5)
