Jesus instructed his followers, "pray thus; "'Our God in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one" (Matthew 6:9-15). This is the Lord's Prayer. In prayer, Muslims recite surah Al-Faatihah; many Christians will recognize these verses of the Qur'an to that of Lord's Prayer. "In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; the Compassionate, the Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. Show us the straight path, The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray" (1:1-7).
