Yes it is. A Christian is a follower of Christ.
Actually, a Christian is NOT just a follower of Christ, a Christian is also someone who ACCEPTED Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and has the Holy Spirit living within them as well as being Baptized.

Roman Catholic AnswerNo, the Catholic Church is most definitely NOT a "denomination". the Catholic Church was established by Our Blessed Lord, Himself, on the apostle, St. Peter (see St. Matthew's Gospel 16:17-19). It is His Mystical Body and His Bride. And He promised to be with it until the end of time. He sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost to guide it always until the end of the world. It is, as the Creed says: One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic. When you are speaking about "Christian denominations" you are referring to the 30,000 (and growing) "ecclesial communities" that were originally founded by heretics in the 16th century, who left the Church that Our Blessed Lord established because of their own problems, and founded their own "churches" which have little to nothing to do with the Church that Our Blessed Lord founded. Never confuse the two.catholisism
