Is it a sin if you are not able to go to church on Sunday?

"...sin is the transgression of the law." (I John 3:4) This is God's definition of what sin is in The Bible.

"The law" is the Ten Commandments.

"...I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, "Thou shalt not covet." (Rom.7:7) Thou shalt not covet is the tenth Commandment.

The Ten Commandments define sin... therefore, unless one of the Commandments reads: "Thou shalt always be able to go to church on Sunday"... then it's not a sin.

Worshipping is never a sin unless it is idolatry or otherwise directed towards inappropriate recipients.

God defines "sin" in His Word, the Bible, as: "...for SIN IS the TRANSGRESSION [the breaking of] THE LAW." (I John 3:4)

The "Law" which Paul refines for us, and focuses in on: "What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? GOD FORBID. Nay, I had not known sin, but BY the Law: for I had not known LUST, except the Law had said, THOU SHALT NOT COVET." (Rom.7:7 KJV)

What Law of God says "Thou shalt not covet?" Of course, it's "number 10" of the Ten Commandments! THIS is the LAW of God, when broken, that DEFINES WHAT SIN IS.

And the Ten Commandments defines for man what constitutes "sin."

And "worshiping on Sunday" isn't listed among them. In fact, the word "Sunday" isn't in the Bible. But, WHO or WHAT we worship, however, IS commanded in God's Law... regardless of the day.

"Thou shalt have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME." (Commandment #1 -- Ex.20:3)

And: "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them [in worship of], nor serve them [be obedient to them]: for I the LORD thy God AM a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them THAT HATE ME; and shewing [showing] MERCY unto THOUSANDS [or the THOUSANDTH GENERATION] of them THAT LOVE ME, and KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS." (Commandment #2 -- verses 4-6)

The only stipulation in God's Law regarding "worship" falls under the category of WHO or WHAT you are worshiping; not any particular "day."

The "day" we call "Saturday," by the calendar we use today, is the only day of God's Divinely-inspired seven-day week [that the world still uses for some odd reason] that He "gives a name to." And He calls it "the Sabbath day!" [see Gen.2:2 & Ex.20:8-11]:

"And finished God on day the seventh His work which He had made. And He ceased ['shabath': to repose... desist from exertion; used in many implied relations (causative, figurative or specific): {translated in the KJV Bible as} ...cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away." (Strong's Definitions)] on day the seventh from all His work which He had made." (Gen.2:2 LIT Literal Bible)

The other six days of the week, God "numbers" -- with the day of the week that man calls "Sunday" called by God: "the first day of the week.":

"In the end of the Sabbath [man's Saturday, today], as it began to dawn toward THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK [man's Sunday, today], came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre." (Matt.28:1)

The only stipulation God commands in His Law regarding mankind's "worship" [bowing down to anyone or anything in spiritual Confidence, Trust, Faith, and Obedience] is that HE IS THE ONLY GOD TO BE WORSHIPED BY MAN! And any OTHER GOD that men may worship and obey [in whatever form he, she or it may take] constitutes "SIN!"

"...do not be trapped into following their example in worshiping their gods. Do not say, 'How did these nations worship their gods? I want to follow their example.' YOU MUST NOT DO THIS TO THE LORD YOUR GOD. These nations have committed many detestable acts that the LORD hates, all in the name of their gods. They have burned their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods. CAREFULLY OBEY ALL THE COMMANDS [Commandments] I give you. Do not add to them or subtract from them." (Deut.12:30-32 NLT New Living Translation)

Our modern day "Sunday" is named after Baal, the "sun god." Sunday is the "Sun's Day!" And all the days of the week of the vile heathen calendar man uses today are all named after the pagan gods he's worshiped throughout his generations:

Monday is the "Moon's Day." Tuesday is "Theus's Day" [or 'Tiwes'; the Germanic god of war comparable to the Roman god Mars]. Wednesday is "Woden's Day" [Anglo-Saxon god corresponding to the Norse god Odin]. Thursday is "Thor's Day." Friday is "Freyja's Day" ['Lady' old Norse goddess of fertility comparable to Rome's Diana, or the Greek Artemis, or to Astarte, or Babylon's 'Ishtar': pronounced 'Easter'], and Saturday (the LORD's Sabbath) is "Saturn's Day."

Of course, our generation in these last days of mankind's errant rule on earth, remain fairly ignorant of the true history of the world around us. Our family heritages and roots are a blank to most of us; and, like the generations before us, we too are deceived by this world's god that the first two people ignorantly chose to worship and obey in the beginning. Very little of the governments and societies and systems of this world are in accordance with the Laws of the Scriptures. Nor do very many people care [about anything or anyone but themselves].

The word "sin" [the breaking of God's Commandments] is becoming a cliche in this world's society... if it isn't already. And religion in general is for fools in the eyes of its leaders and rulers. Certainly, the Word of God, the Bible, and the name of Jesus Christ are becoming more and more intolerable to those who promote and profess "tolerance" for everything of which God disapproves, and that the Bible calls "sin."

But "worshiping on Sunday" as the name of a day of the week isn't named as a "sin" in the Bible. God says to us, [to paraphrase I John 3:4]: "Sin is the transgression of My Ten Commandments."

God merely commands His creation to worship Him in accordance with His Word, the Truth ["...thy Word {the Words recorded in the Bible} is Truth." - John 17:17].

"...the time is coming and is already here when True worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth [in accordance with the Words of the Bible]. The Father is looking for anyone who will worship Him in that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth." (John 4:23-24 NLT New Living Translation)

And if everyone in the world would worship Him in that Spirit and in that Truth... it's a fair assumption that He would Love for it if we would all "bother Him with our worship" every day of the week. And no accusation of it being a sin would be forthcoming.

"...Learn a lesson from... [the]... evil judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end, so don't you think God will surely give Justice to His chosen people who plead with Him day and night [any day, every day]? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will grant Justice to them quickly! But when I, the Son of Man, return, how many will I find who have Faith?" (Luke 18:6-8 NLT)

How many do and shall worship Him [not on a particular day, but] in Spirit and in Truth? The potential sin isn't "when" we worship Him.... but "whether" we do... and "how" we do it.
