It is not a sin to not take communion. The sin is to not attend mass. Most people do take communion when they come of age if they decide to continue with the religion.

Why cant people with normal sin receive holy communion?

They can, however communion is a thing for people who are Christians/believers ( and they are people with normal sin) to remember Jesus Christ's death on the cross. There is no purpose/reason for somebody who is not a Christian to take communion.

Can a Catholic who is committing adultery get communion in a Roman Catholic church?

No, that is a mortal sin. That adult should not be receiving Communion or that would be sacrilege, another mortal sin.

Can one par-take in communion when committing adultery?

Well lightening won't strike you down. All sins are equal in the sight of God. All people sin, and that includes people who take communion. I'm pretty sure there are no rules as to who can and can't take communion, and there certainly is no one checking. Although honestly, if you're really afraid of whether or not a person can take communion while committing adultery, I would advise you to change your priorities. Communion won't get its feelings hurt, but spouses can.

Does a Catholic have to confess to a priest before communion?

If a Catholic has committed a mortal sin, then he must confess this sin to a priest in the Sacrament of Confession before he can receive Communion. If he has committed only venial sins, then he is free to receive Communion without going to Confession, and his reception of Communion will actually result in the forgiveness of those venial sins.

Communion after divorce?

Roman Catholic AnswerOne may only receive Holy Communion when one is in a state of grace. Receiving Holy Communion in a state of sin is a grave sacrilege and another mortal sin. If one is the innocent party to a divorce, has not attempted a "remarriage", has been to confession, and is in a state of grace, then there is no problem with receiving Holy Communion. If in doubt as to your status, check with the priest while you are in confession.

Do catholics pay for communion?

No. Buying and selling sacraments is the sin of simony, which the Church condemns.

Can Catholic women take Holy Communion after she marries and divorces an orthodox man?

The bible teaches to divorce only if your spouse has committed adultery so if the reason you divorced was for some other reason other than your spouse committing adultery, and you did it with full knowledge that it is bad, you have committed a mortal sin. And if you have committed a mortal sin, you are not eligible to receive Holy Communion. Any ways, to be on the safe side, if you have already divorced for some other reason, you should go to confession before receiving Holy Communion if you knew it was bad OR not.

May you receive Holy Communion if you don't confess your sins and you are Catholic?

You should never approach to receive Holy Communion if you have not been to confession and are in a state of mortal (serious) sin. To receive Holy Communion in a state of serious sin, is sacrilege, and another very serious sin. Very serious sins include missing Mass on any Sunday OR Holy Day of Obligation. Church law requires that you go to confession at least once a year, even if you have no serious sins on your soul. If you haven't been to confession the last Lent or Easter, that alone would be a serious sin that would keep you from Holy Communion. Also being Catholic and not educating yourself correctly in the laws and rules of the Church would be a serious sin. Not knowing that you shouldn't receive Holy Communion in a state of sin would qualify. You should discuss this with the priest in the confessional as soon as possible.
