Christians from a biblical/fundamentalist tradition will say yes, it certainly is, since it is a form of idolatry. Roman Catholics and others who come more from a sacramental tradition of religion will say that if you have the right spirit, and are using the 'sacramental' image to help you focus on God, or to invoke the intercession of a recognized saint, then it is not only ok but urged.
Only Catholic and Orthodox Churches use statues and pictures of Jesus or of the saints to help them pray. Protestant Churches do not, considering the use of icons akin to idolatory.
Anywhere that is clean, and preferably quiet. We don't pray in front of pictures or where immodestly dressed people are visible.
There front legs tat have claws
the wrong god(s)
Writing icons is an extremely prayer-filled task. You first, need to ask the Lord for guidance in this situation, and to guide your hand. You also need to pray to the saint you are going to be writing. Praying to a saint, is not the same as praying to God. You must ask the saint to pray for YOU in this task.
I don't know what religion you are asking this for, but for my religion you definitely can. It doesn't matter where you pray, or who you pray in front of. My religion is LDS, (The Church of Latter Day Saints), or in the world lingo Mormon.
This image is called a holy icon. The Orthodox pray to God, not to icons. Icons are used to ask a saint to pray to God on our behalf. This is called venerating (or honouring). By venerating icons we ask for the saints to pray to God for us, because we know that God hears all prayers, but especially the prayers of his saints, as we read in Revelation 5:8 and in Revelation 8:3-4 "…the prayers of the saints, ascended before God…" Both Orthodox Christians and Roman Catholics (and even some Protestants) accept icons as an important part of Christian life, as this was determined by the Seventh Ecumenical Council.
its not wrong but you're wasting your time
to not let be tempted to do wrong
Worship The One True G-d of the Heavens. Pray to the Father through Jesus the Christ. Personally for me this would be wrong to pray to the Saints-they are the true holy ones who gave their lives for the One True G-d.
Not necessarily. I can pray with all the faith in the world for a new laptop, and it won't appear in front of me.
just has to keep the room clean and less noisy and not hang pictures or decorate with some sculptures coz while praying you shoulnd have non of the above mentioned in front of yourself. You pray for Allah,so you better not face pictures photos or sculptures while praying
