From what i have read from Wikipedia and other resources, kayastha is a dual caste of brahmins and kshatriya
thus this leads to the conclusion that the above is sort of a brahmin caste

Saxena is Kayastha , one of the clans of Kayastha...Shree Matimaan(Saxena): He was married to Devi Kokalesh and worshipped Devi Shakambari.
