No, legionnaires disease was completely unknown until a few decades ago. It did not occur at all in biblical times as the bacteria that causes it did not come in contact with people in high enough concentrations to infect humans. It took the development of large scale commercial air conditioning systems to allow the bacteria that causes it to grow in large amounts and become airborne in quantities large enough to become infectious.

Perhaps you are thinking of leprosy, which was considered to be uncurable until antibiotics were developed in the 1940s.

Both diseases are now easily curable by a course of an appropriate antibiotic.
