Like all matters in Moral Philosophy, there is not a yes or no answer. If one defines their morals through a Consequentialist perspective (e.g. The moral worth of an action is determined by its outcome), then there are several variables one must consider that do not exist at all, or to the same extent, in non-pederast relationships: - The emotional and intellectual development of those in the relationship, are more likely to have a greater difference, thus causing an increased possibility of exploitation and manipulation of the youth. - Depending on the age of the youth and the sexual acts performed (if any at all), physical harm may entail for the youth in the relationship. - Due to the existing social stigma, the psychological and physical health of those in pederast relationships would be in jeopardy, particularly if the subject is in a crucial stage of psychological development. There are more variables to consider; however, in my opinion these are the more important. Of course, in most countries pederasty and paedophilia are illegal, and the definition is dependant on the country's age of consent laws, if they exist.
