I suppose so, in a sense. Many of the things deities "do" are things a person could, and make sense to us humans. Speaking as an atheist, for me this is one of the many reasons I find it difficult to believe in a god: why would an all-powerful, omniscient being be so similar to us in so many ways? Why would he choose us to rule over Earth, and why should he be even remotely interested in us at all? There are plenty other galaxies out there to choose from. Gods don't tend to do unbelievable things; and are even (from my point of view) unimaginative- they are in a box because they reflect human values and interests, when they could be doing something completely different. :)
Man made up religion as an attempt to bridge the gap between man and God. Many attempts have been made to bridge that gap. People have tried since the beginning to somehow get back to God, but the fact is that man cannot do that by himself, he needs a mediator, which is Christ. Religion is just mans attempt at salvation

It was Chicago Mayor Anton Cermak.
Nothing at all.
in between his toes or behind his ear. its nothing to be ashamed of. It happened to me
Nothing sweetie, its all about how they want to act funny or sometimes when they are drunk and having fun.
less central to mans existence
There are many things why Fijians are good in rugby. Rugby is considered to be a mans religion in Fiji and possibly women. It is just the nations game.
well, its normal, but its probably nothing to worry about, you should talk about it with her.
Christ agrees with you, as most, if not all, of His quotes on religion will attest. Don't confuse "religion," which may be defined as "Mans attempts to reach God," with "Following Christ," which should be religion-free.
Every mans religion is important to him in time of war. It is said that there are no atheists in fox holes, this I can well believe. Every man when in battle calls upon his own God, for God may be the only thing he has left.
